Prof. Murat Cantaşdemir, M.D. graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine at İstanbul University. In 1997, he completed his specialty training as a radiologist at the Department of Radiology of Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in İstanbul. He became an Associate Professor
in 2005 and Professor in 2012.
At present, works as a faculty member at the Department of Interventional Radiology of the Department of Radiology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.
He authored 39 scientific articles that were published on international peer-reviewed journals, 35 scientific articles that were published in national peer-reviewed journals, and more than 100 papers presented at national and international scientific meetings. He also is frequently invited to many national and international scientific meetings as a guest speaker.
He has been lecturing on theoretical and practical medicine at the Vocational School of Health Services and the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine at İstanbul University since 1997.
He is an active member of the Turkish Society of Radiology, the Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology, the Turkish Society of Neuroradiology and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE). and Professor in 2012.
